I am the 3rd grade teacher at OLS. I grew up in Garfield Ridge and went to elementary school at Our Lady of the Snows. I went to college at Lewis University and grad school at Concordia University. My favorite Saint is St. Catherine of Siena. I admire her courage, compassion, and unwavering faith. She dedicated her life to serving others and standing up for what she believed was right, even when it was difficult. Her example reminds me to lead with kindness, trust in God, and use my voice to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
One thing I want families to know about me is that I am a book lover at heart! 📚 There’s nothing better than a good cup of coffee and getting lost in a great book. I hope to share my love of reading with my students and help them discover the joy, adventure, and magic that can be found in books!
I believe that Catholic education is about developing the whole student. It goes beyond academics and focuses on nurturing students’ faith, character, relationships, and sense of responsibility. I value the opportunity to help students grow not only as learners, but also as compassionate, confident, and faith-filled individuals who are prepared to make a positive difference in the world.
Why OLS? OLS is home. It is a place where students are welcomed, supported, and encouraged to grow in a safe and nurturing environment. I love that OLS is more than just a school, it is a community where students can develop academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while knowing they are cared for every step of the way. My teaching style is relationship-driven. I believe our classroom is a community, and every student plays an important role in shaping and driving that community. I strive to create a classroom where students feel known, valued, and supported while having the opportunity to take ownership of their learning and growth.
